The first time without any knowledge of your target language. Then, after you play Talk Town, we’ll send you back and you’ll be able to speak with the locals comfortably.
Why We Made Talk Town
The first time I left North America was to study abroad in Austria, a German-speaking country. I had never spoken German before but figured I could learn enough using a CD Rom on my flight to Vienna. It turns out, you cannot learn an entire language on an 8 hour flight.
I barely learned German the entire semester even with multiple hours of classes each day.
But, I fell in love with the city and was immersed in the culture, the people, and a new found desire to explore.
Despite 5 years of French class in High School, when I traveled to Paris, I couldn’t speak any French. I’ve done multiple popular language apps and was barely able to remember basic phrases.
As I continued to Travel over the years, I most enjoyed getting acquainted with new cities, having a routine like going to local coffee shops, gyms, and markets.
The best thing for me was having a routine that forced immersion. But if you can’t physically immerse yourself in a language, I thought wouldn’t it be fun to play a game like you are living in a foreign country?
That’s why we made Talk Town. To practice real life situations with enough natural repetition that you can go deeper than a tourist and connect with the people and the culture.

There are two ways to partner with us.
First, for influencers who love traveling and want to put Talk Town to the test we are excited to send you on two trips to the country of your target language.
The first time, with limited or zero language experience. After returning from your first trip, you’ll have access to Talk Town and will learn your target language for several weeks before taking your second trip where you will have a deeper mastery of your target language and a more fulfilling experience being able to navigate daily situations and interactions with locals.
Upon your return from the second trip, we will launch our full marketing campaign together and you will be awarded a portion of the funds raised from a crowdfunding campaign. There are of course ongoing affiliate opportunities and additional trips in your future if it’s a good fit.
Second, for influencers that are more interested in a traditional affiliate program, we are pumped to offer you a generous affiliate compensation plan on an ongoing basis.
